The Beginning of Something Else

Hey.

There are lots and lots of reasons to put stuff off. I could do my first post on that - a whole list of excuses and "perfectly valid" arguments about why today is not the day to get off of one's ass and make a change, except for two things:

1) I'm sure that whoever you are, you already have a list of your own and don't need mine, and

2) Who the hell cares, because that kind of list is the demon archlord super mega main bad guy of progress, and there's already too much negative crap on the internet.

For my part, I've put off starting a blog because there are so many of them, but today I decided that didn't matter much, and even if I just use this space to get my brain started in the morning, it'd be worth it. So I'm going to write words, and if you're reading them right now, then HA, I HAVE YOU IN MY POWER. TRY TO STOP READING. YOU CAN'T STOP, CAN YOU?

That's right. See how I got you right there? Pretty good, right? This is me, with a future in either write-wording or mind control.

For most people, I guess the point of a blog is to say something, but it seems like these days, people fall asleep if asked to read anything longer than a tweet.
The concept of TL;DR sums up the modern age pretty well.

I'll try to be entertaining. I'm sarcastic, and there will probably be some profanity on occasion, but as the language of emotion, profanity comes with the territory on a blog about opinions. 

Why, you may ask, are the opinions expressed herein of higher quality than any of the others in the massive internet ocean?

Well, they aren't, unless they are to you. They're pretty special to me, because I made them with my mind, and if you've ever tried to make something with your mind, you'll remember how stoked you feel when you pull it off.
All of the telekinetic construction workers I've ever met have been really happy dudes.

Also? If I manage to come up with something that speaks to you, or maybe just reiterate something you've heard before, but in a way that clicks differently and makes you think, then hey, that's something, right?

In the meantime, it's doing ME a world of good to have a place of potential significance to kick-start my brain.
